Emily graduated from Edge Hill University in 2016 and since then has been working in clinical, sporting and corporate settings. She has had previous experience with first aiding for football clubs and providing deep tissue massages for professional rugby players and disability athletes from all over the world. Previous events she has worked at include the Virgin Money London Marathon 2015-17 and the Para Badminton World Championships 2015.
As a full member of the Society of Sports Therapists, she covers a wide range of treatments, such as deep tissue massage, manual therapy techniques, ultrasound and more. Kinesiology taping is one of Emily’s specialities, which aids an area of a body that is fatigued or injured. This works incredibly well alongside other treatment methods for injuries. There are a wide range of injuries that Emily treats including sporting, spinal, work and everyday injuries and general aches/stiffness.
Emily has a passion for sport and can relate to a numerous amount of different injuries, due to being a former international athlete herself. Travelling as far as Malaysia to all over Europe, she reached top 40 in the Junior World Rankings. It was this experience that influenced her career path, as she personally experienced the physical and emotional stresses of playing/returning to sport after injury. Her aim is to get people back to full fitness, especially in a sporting scenario, in the shortest amount of time possible.
